Restoring to factory default

conf t > config factory-default (if you reload here it leaves old u/p data)

write mem

conf t > write erase

reload

Backup using tftp server

- setup your tftp server, learn the IP and directory, port 69 needs to be open on your fw

en > write net [x.x.x.x]:asa_backup (, [x.x.x.x] - your tftp server IP and asa-backup - custom file name for the backup text file)

Restoring conf:

copy tftp start

Cisco Access Point Basic configuration

  1. Disconnect power (the power jack for external power or the Ethernet cable for in-line power) from the access point.
  2. Press and hold the MODE button while you reconnect power to the access point.
  3. Hold the MODE button until the Status LED turns amber (approximately 1 to 2 seconds), and release the button. All access point settings return to factory defaults.

Cisco VPN client error 442 on Windows 8

    you install and configure everything correctly and suddenly after typing credentials error appears:

Reason 442: Failed to enable virtual adapter

And here is the reason, there is a wrong registry value created during the installation of your client. Who knows why? The incorrect registry key contains invalid DisplayName:
